Seaford Live!® 2008
Seaford Live!® ’08 held it’s first music and arts festival between 11th – 14th September in pubs, cafes, bars and theatres across Seaford, East Sussex with free entry to many of the events.
The festival was extremely popular with many of the events selling out. Hailed as a success the festival coincided with the celebrations of 200 years since the Seaford Martello Tower was built and provided an opportunity to promote local artists and performers.
Artists and acts included local bands Kick, The Traders and The Caution as well as classical guitarist Gabrielle Stephens, drama from Edinburgh Fringe Festival favourites The Knapper Experience, a dance performance from Newlands School and a multitude of folk, jazz and traditional acts from Seaford.
Funds of over £2,400 were raised throughout the event for various charities including Newhaven Lifeboat Comfort Fund, St Wilfrid’s Hospice and Macmillan Nurses’ Local Fund.
